AUesome - Activity Kits for Autistic Children
AUesome is an app for autistic children promotes spatial & sensory learning with cognitively engaging games & an integrated physical activity kit. Their vision is to simplify the at-home therapy process for parents of children with autism by combining a physical play kit with an app that serves as an accompanying training tool for the activities in the kit.
As of partway through LaunchX Virtual, this startup team completed their minimum viable product (MVP) kits to send out for user testing. They sent out 5-8 free kits (adjustable to customer interest) to parents for initial feedback plus set up a GoFundMe to help fund free kits. They also are applying for a grant, as they are a non-profit and could be eligible for certain grant based funding. They have also coded a website to further promote their product, idea, and demonstrations of their kit, along with an app mockup.
Vitto Baskets - organic produce delivery
Vitto Baskets is dedicated to promoting a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle and supporting local farms by making organic local produce more accessible.
Within only a month of operation, they sold over $1,000 of Vitto Baskets with plans to sell thousands of dollars more in the months to follow. With local newspaper publications, partnerships with local nonprofits, and soon to come additional locations, they have big plans for the company.
ASOSHI - ambitions connection platform
Launchies are ambitious, and outside of the program can struggle to find the right person to start an initiative with. ASOSHI is intended to support that challenge.
During their beta testing, they formed a manual service where we users would pay $4 to fill out a profile-making Google Form and be paired with a project partner. In less than a week, they had over 15 paying customers with a Discord community of over 70 active users. The feedback after the paying users were paired was overwhelming! Almost all of them were satisfied with the new friend they had made. Within a short timeframe of the program, the venture started talks with multiple investors about partnerships and investments.

LaunchX was an amazing opportunity to meet other peers and extend my entrepreneurial experience. LaunchX has helped me build my own company and I am eager to continue this business with my team in the future even after LaunchX. I was also lucky enough to build acquaintances between such a fun, energetic cohort that made me laugh so many times during lessons. LaunchX itself is an amazing community also built by thoughtful instructors and interns that are easy to approach and always willing to help us out when we have a question.

LaunchX catalyzed my development as an entrepreneur. Most importantly, I grew to understand that founding a company is an iterative process with numerous moving parts. There is no formula for success; a bright idea is nothing without a good business plan and an innovative product is nothing without a viable market. Looking forward, I hope to use the invaluable lessons I learned and experiences I acquired at LaunchX in the future.

My LaunchX experience was amazing! I feel like I learned a lot during the program, both from my mentors and my peers. I grew my entrepreneurial mindset and learned how to think and act like a true entrepreneur. My highlights were getting feedback from the amazing mentors and demo day, where I got to see everyone’s amazing startups.

My LaunchX experience was very positive. I loved my professors, classes, social events, and above all else my team. I don’t think there was any better way I could’ve spent my summer. Some of my highlights were presenting my mini ted talk, receiving my first ‘yes’ to an interview, being posted in my local HOA newsletter, and playing competitive uno with my team.

“LaunchX provides a really unique experience when it comes to mentorship. The ability to have weekly mock board sessions, team meetings and office hours with instructors and interns is insanely valuable. With everyone’s experiences and insights we are able to receive so much feedback from a variety of opinions. Plus, after the 5 weeks we are able to really form connections with board members, instructors and interns as well.
