After co-founding Floating Point Group, a successful Series A fintech company, John is now diving into new ventures within the crypto space. His daily routine might surprise you – often dressed in basketball shorts, he spends most of his time at his computer, coding, prototyping, and strategizing with his team. His days are a mix of crucial meetings, especially for fundraising or client interactions, and exciting new projects like pitching to investors or brainstorming the next big idea.

Reflecting on his LaunchX experience, John highlights the incredible network he built. “The people I met along the way. Hands down. Some of my best friends today are those from LaunchX,” he shares. One of John’s favorite memories from LaunchX involves late-night dorm adventures. “We lived in Maseeh next to the student union, and curfew was at 10 pm. We would always try to see how quickly we could run over, order a milkshake, and then come back. They were amazing,” he recalls with a smile.

LaunchX has profoundly influenced John’s career and personal growth. He credits the program for providing a supportive community that has been essential in his entrepreneurial journey. “Network is like 90% of success in the world, and LaunchX has curated a really good group of folks,” he says.

One of John’s proudest achievements is fundraising for his Series A round, a milestone that reflects his dedication and skill. To those considering applying to LaunchX, his advice is heartfelt: “Take your time with your application. It’s competitive, but you can do it. Just spend a lot of time on it and work on it. And have a blast at it.”

For new LaunchX attendees, John’s advice is both humorous and practical: “Don’t sleep – it’s for the weak.”
