So you got into LaunchX!

Congratulations on making it into LaunchX! This is an incredible achievement, especially in 2025 as it was a tough year with lots of stellar applicants, and you should be proud. But before you dive headfirst into the program, let’s talk about how you can optimize your experience and make the most of this unique opportunity. Here's how to set yourself up for success:

Start Networking with Fellow Launchies

One of the biggest perks of LaunchX is the community of like-minded individuals you’ll be surrounded by. Don’t wait for the program to start—begin networking with your fellow participants now. Connect with other students accepted into the 2025 cohort, whether you’re in the online program or an offline cohort. Start by adding LaunchX 2025 on your LinkedIn and add others who have posted their acceptances or added it to their profiles, then reach out to people who share similar interests. Trust me, all LaunchX participants are eager to network, collaborate, and share advice. The relationships you build now will last long after the program ends, so start early!

Diane Darling is a professional networker and LaunchX mentor who shares how to best build relationships that last. Listen to her podcast episode for some tips on meeting new people and building quality connections!

Dive Into the Business Framework

LaunchX is going to teach you a ton about entrepreneurship, but it’s important to start building a solid foundation ahead of time. Begin familiarizing yourself with business frameworks and concepts that will be used throughout the program. One great way to do this is by reading books that focus on entrepreneurship. A must-read is Diary of a CEO by Steven Bartlett, which offers insights into the mindsets of successful entrepreneurs. Getting a head start on this knowledge will help you hit the ground running when the program kicks off.

Also, don’t forget about the LaunchX Podcast! It’s packed with tips, insights, and stories from entrepreneurs who have been in your shoes. Listening to episodes now will help you familiarize yourself with the type of discussions that will take place during the program and give you a leg up when it comes to understanding industry lingo and best practices. Two favourites are from LaunchX CEO Forest Richter about authentic leadership and how to leverage being a student entrepreneur to your fullest, from venture capitalist Adam Choe.

LaunchX is Just the Beginning

Getting into LaunchX is a huge win, but it’s just the beginning. To make the most of this opportunity, start networking with your fellow participants, immerse yourself in business frameworks, and get into a business mindset. This proactive approach will help you hit the ground running, maximize your learning, and set yourself up for a successful and rewarding experience.
