SXSW

While SXSW is not specifically tailored for high school entrepreneurs, many incredible sessions exist for those interested in the startup world.

In March 2024, SXSW is running the STARTUPS TRACK conference. This is an opportunity to develop the next big thing. There are thought-provoking talks, chances to network with like-minded individuals, and a chance to discover the latest trends in entrepreneurship technology, funding, and ideation.

FBLA

Future Business Leaders of America is the largest student business organization in the United States, with over 250,000 members. There are divisions all throughout the United States that offer various events and conferences to help spur your entrepreneurial spirit.

The leading conference is the NLC (National Leadership Conference), which brings students from around the US to grow and develop their leadership skills. The keynote speakers and conference hall full of booths allow students to connect and build their business skills.

CONRAD Challenge

The CONRAD Challenge by Space Center Houston is an opportunity to form a team, develop an innovation, and pitch it to a group of panelists with a focus on prizes and awards. The competition is a great way to stretch your abilities and put your ideas to the test. 

There are 4 different categories to compete in –

1. Cyber-Technology & Security

2. Aerospace & Aviation

3. Energy & Environment

4. Health & Nutrition

With teams of 2-5, students develop and pitch their innovation through a guided approach that the CONRAD Challenge provides. This process will aid students in completing the competition.

Teachstars Startup Weekend

The Startup Weekend is presented as "... a three-day program where aspiring entrepreneurs can experience startup life. In hundreds of cities around the world." This program excels at introducing students to the startup world in just a few days. There are programs all around the world with dates spanning most of the year.

In 3 days, attendees develop, prototype, design, and validate their startup ideas, acting as an incubator for your ideas. And with locations worldwide, there is most likely a location near you. 

Plus, they offer free valuable resources specifically about entrepreneurship. This material allows you to grow and prepare as an entrepreneur even if you don't attend their weekend program.

The Diamond Challenge

Looking to test your entrepreneurship skills? The Diamond Challenge offers a 3-day conference called "Summit" that focuses on learning and growing as entrepreneurs and innovators. Plus, the competition offers over $100,000 in prizes, culminating in Summit where winners are announced.

This globally renowned competition offers a way to grow during the school year.

LaunchX Summer Programs

LaunchX offers longer programs ranging from 3-5 weeks during the summer. The Entrepreneurship Summer Programs and the Innovation Summer Program help students combine the rigorous theoretical foundations of business with the practical expression of that knowledge.

Whether starting a real business in 4 or 5 weeks or working with an existing company to solve a genuine challenge they are facing – the opportunity to grow as an entrepreneur is boundless. And with online and in-person programs, students from around the world can attend.
