The team’s consultation aimed at improving the summer program application process for ambitious teens—a demographic they deeply understand. Team member Ciana Tzuo admitted that she anticipated a more basic assignment but was struck by the "high level" nature of the work and the seriousness with which their partnering business treated them. Their video presentation for B4E Insurtech was packed with content, covering a broad spectrum from updating product styling to developing an online customer service platform and an insurance news platform. The team's comprehensive approach and the respect they earned from their partner businesses highlight the real-world impact they achieved.
Team C3 hit it out of the park with their innovative approach for Exec Socks, using cutting-edge technology to drive sales and enhance customer engagement. Their project featured custom design software for personalized socks and a customer chatbot, showcasing their ability to create a dynamic partnership system. Instructor Barbara Astley praised their exceptional rapport with the partnering businesses, which allowed them to deliver a working prototype that impressed Exec Socks’ Suresh. The fact that they received internship offers from Exec Socks is a testament to their outstanding performance and the high caliber of their solution. Aarav’s skillful coding in PHP was a highlight of their success.
Team C7’s presentation was a cinematic masterpiece, capturing the attention of the LaunchX staff with their inventive use of pencils, paper airplanes, and soccer balls to transition between global team members. Their work with LTAI (Let's Talk About It) aimed to revitalize the brand through a revamped website and enhanced social media presence. Additionally, they focused on improving internal employee retention and training programs. LaunchX CEO Forest Richter described their video as a “movie preview” with high production value, and instructor Tracy Schmidley noted the visible pride the team had in their work. Their creativity and effort were clearly reflected in their impressive final presentation.
Team C9 tackled a complex challenge with their solar energy project, aiming to improve the customer experience for solar panel installation and maintenance using AI and chatbots. Community intern Masha Levin highlighted Hannah’s diligence and leadership, noting her active involvement and support for fellow students. Instructor Barbara Astley commended C9 for their ambitious plan, which projects a 20% year-over-year growth for solar energy in a foreign market—far exceeding the industry’s average growth rate of 5%.
